DETROIT IS NOT FULL OF FORECLOSURES AND BANKRUPTCIES AFTERALL A LOOK AT SURBURBIAN PARADISE:

When we hear the word Detroit we are sometimes clouded with visions of high crime, urban plight, and housing desolation. In the land where the motors run high there are many areas that would be on top of Forbes best places to live. See if you travel outside of the area you will come to know some of the best suburban environments in the United States. Make no qualms about it Metro Detroit in some respects is one of the best places to raise a family and live. Let’s take a look at a couple of cities that I consider make up metro Detroit (I am changing the characterization to within 40 miles) and represent the state well. I consider these areas that you must visit and if you’re thinking about it buying a must look for real estate:

Northville:
They may as well call this the Lions Den. The area is encumbered with a vast number of current and former NFL athletes. It’s downtown quaint but still enough room to need uber. Northville is the perfect medium of living not overly pretentious but not far hippy enough to inflict damage. Northville was founded in 1825 by settlers from New York. This area is in close proximity to Downtown Detroit

Birmingham:
Brother of a president founded this oasis. It has a great downtown area fitted with a movie theatre. Very close proximity to another younger melting pot Royal Oak which is growing into the city of choice for young professionals without families. This area is just a 696 away from downtown Detroit in case you really want to get lively.

Gross Point Woods:
Driving through East Side Detroit on Jefferson near the old dodge viper/Chrysler factory you wouldn’t have a clue what awaits you as you pass through some of the more desolate areas of Detroit, Once you enter you know you have entered surrounded by a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, houses that make you think of Kings and Queens and diversity of house shapes that traditionalists will be inspired to view. This old money town is truly the gem of metro Detroit, close proximity to the city easy access to all the amenities a starbucks, supermarket, and 20 min to Windsor. Thank you Detroit, this is a hidden gem. Oh and I Forgot to mention beaches in Saint Clair Shores just a couple of miles up the way, tell Boca Raton to get mad at me later.

Forget all the foreclosures.....Forget all the crime that you have heard of in Detroit, When it comes to surburbs we are dealing with la creme de la creme.
