I'm in my Lambo Huracan and at 200mph why is there a Cadillac passing me ???? 2016 CTS V review

How come whenever we start a review on a Cadillac it begins with this isn’t your Grand Fathers Cadiilac, or the Gangsters Limousine has arrived….Why are we sublimely locked in to a mindset, though I consider the latter two a compliment as those usually are the high net worth folks in the area when we discuss America's Top Luxury brand (yes I said it Lincoln, Tesla still needs a line up). This is a car review but I want to take us to Wilbur Right remember the guys that tried to fly, remember how the possibility of flying was something kept for the space aliens and wasn’t meant for us land dwellers and all the fear those old timers had of actually taking a step in one of these things to travel ….ahhh what if we listened to them. I know a few of us are stuck in the past let those folks be entitled to their opinion but let’s not be ignorant, people and things can reinvent themselves and change. Sometimes for the better sometimes for the worst. I am not the omniscient king but I am making the statement now….CADILLAC has changed this is no longer a car I would be afraid to park in front of a wine tasting, or the W hotel in V version of course next to the RARRI’s and LAMBOs.

Competiton aside this is the hallmark of GM, the official where in it to win it, now lets look at the numbers be advised these tests are all under different conditions that may or not be ideal for the vehicle. When its this close it comes to driver in the beginning than all car at the end (1/2 mile run). Let's look at why I say that and some of the competitors

I hate to be vague but here goes driving summary

Turning: This kind of point and shoot is meant for lasers. This car gives you way to much confidence

Acceleration: Mash and go bye bye to everything with four doors not tuned including Dodge Charger Hellcat up until 202 than it will pass you but theres a turn coming up so who cares... (By the way the Hellcat can turn a plus .94g's so be careful in your thoughts of the big Dodge)

Interior: Its not the.best but its certainly up there.Matterfact thumbs up for variation this is a cockpit. For where Cadillac has come and were some of the European brands are this is a step up. You can't fall asleep at the wheel the midsize luxury market has alot of competitors.

Here goes my nitpick at the General (Cadillac owned by General Motors)

Exterior:
Such a muscular front end should not end up with a plain looking back (this is to the naked eye) end but good first attempt in what could flow down from a design perspective.

Front end I'm a big engine cooling fan (that contributes to higher performance in a vehicle) and integrated looks sometimes suit a car better than attachments that sometime look like something purchased from aftermarket outfitter:

Here are some minors:
  • Addition of more wheel choices
  • The car needs to be lowered a bit, sits to high from the back end (safety had something to do this I understand)

In summary on Decembver 27, 2015 this car is rated as the best midsized sedan on the market. If you don't give the Cadillac a look your not doing any favors to yourself when it comes to legitimate comparisons. If your brand aficionado than go for the regular if not this car should be at the top of the lists.

Best Exterior Colors:
Black, White, Dark Grey

Best Interior Colors:
Tan
