Future Styles of Home Design

The future is a much different place we have new vehicles that are now hybrids, or run on all electric we have clothing that is made of recycled material or from exotic eco-friendly material. How we talk about all these different Macheene’s but haven’t really seen the change into the design language of things that cover us on a daily basis, our living architecture. What are the new future housing trends that will take us into the next decade:

1. Cube Shaped Homes: This is the new fad all across the country their modern sleek look seems to have staying power. Neighborhoods that just start to get these homes will surely feel left behind Flintstone vs Jetson.






2. Geometric Homes: with minimal windows

















3. Colors: I am not talking Orange, Yellow but dull colors look for dark blues, greys, or browns with a splash of some color to bring some spunk into the structure






4. 3 story 4 story more: With no space in an urban climate look to see more floors upward more so than wide.
  





5. Apartment Remodels: Remember that old building that sitting in old harlem, that’s gonna be remodeled and the 2 bdrm will go for 1.5 million.

  

  

  



Look to see an increase in strip malls in the Suburban areas to make up for the urban sprawl that millennials love so much. The change will be subtle next to a gated community look to see a bar scene mixed with open spaced new construction. This gives the up and coming middle class the opportunity to have the space they want as well as the amenities they need. As autonomy comes into focus commutes shouldn’t take as long and the growing push for energy savings could expand our transit system (ex: Orlando sunrail). This change will create vast area of communities a la the New York tri-state area.
