LAMBO URUS ON THE CHEAP: VW ATLAS CROSS SPORT 

Everyone has a predisposition to have an eye for disgust when brands water down and use the same platform with different faces to save on costs but increase the opportunities for buyers in different price segments to have the company experience. General Motors comes to mind right away with there Escalade, which masquerades as a Yukon Denali, and sometimes a Tahoe if you have less dollars. VW strikes the pose with a similar approach albeit with a large delineation between brands that comes in the form of the Lamborghini (italian) Urus, Audi (German) Q8 , and Volkswagon (Entry level German)  Atlas Cross Sport the purpose of this review.  The key aspect between the shared concept are features and luxury unpredictably in some cases sometimes the latter from the looks perspective when fully dressed yup looks better than the top tier version (Cough Cough Chevy Tahoe). 

Enter in the Cross Sport the most watered-down of VW brands which happens to be a VW. The craze for SUVs has been strong for years and we have highlighted the big push and every manufacturer under the sun trying to get something with AWD that sits higher than a car out on the road.  The SUV represents a sleeker twin to the normal Atlas, sitting  2.8 inches shorter than the current Atlas, and is 2.3 inches lower. having 78.3 inches wide and riding on the same 117.3-inch wheelbase the Atlas represent a departure from the plain jane mantra of VW. Being the sleeker of the twins there are additional differentiation to make this feel more premium that are not on the normal Atlas as of yet: 

• New steering wheel, with more intuitive controls,
• Available stitching accents on the door inserts and seats,
• Available wireless mobile charging.
• Include heated rear seats and steering wheel, as well as ventilated front seats,
• Rear sunshades, and the Fender® Premium Audio System with 12 speakers.
• Digital Cockpit configurable instrument display is available on the SEL trim as well as the SEL Premium.
• Panoramic Sunroof 

The Power Train for the cross-sport will have the following available with AWD: 

• V6 - 276 HP / 266 LB TQ  (rated for 5,000lb tow)  - 0-60: 7.5 seconds 
• Twin Turbo 4 Cylinder - 235 HP / 258 LB TQ  - 0-60: 7.9 Seconds 

In all can't really compare the TT V8's of the Audi and Lambo to this car but would've been nice to see the TT V6 found in the RS5 or S6 in this car to give it more uumph but than thay would jeopardize the sales of the big dogs. In all the flow and look of this sleek SUV Cross Sport truly is something to peak about and when we get to the best part of this overview, the price there is no reason why you couldn't save your payments and buy a house instead of Urus to get your SUV Coupe like edge.

The Atlas Cross Sport S FWD starts at $30,545, and features a four-cylinder turbocharged and direct-injection 2.0-liter TSI® engine. The Atlas Cross Sport S 4Motion starts at $32,445. Standard features include: 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels; silver roof rails; LED headlights, Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and taillights; automatic headlights; rain-sensing wipers; cloth seating surfaces; auto-dimming rearview mirror; MIB II Composition Color infotainment system with a 6.5-inch glass-covered touchscreen display, App-Connect, two USB-C ports, and Bluetooth® connectivity for compatible devices; and a rearview camera. Building off the S trim, the Atlas Cross Sport SE starts at $33,945 for the FWD, and $35,845 for the SE 4Motion. Standard features include: 18-inch machined wheels; KESSY® keyless access; heated side mirrors; leatherette seating surfaces; 10-way power driver’s seat; heated front seats; Climatronic® dual-zone automatic climate control; Composition Media infotainment system with an 8.0-inch glass-covered touchscreen display, SiriusXM® radio for a three-month trial subscription, HD Radio, and Voice Control; two second-row USB ports and one in the center console (charge only); and a power liftgate.

SE with Technology

Building off the SE trim, SE with Technology models start at $35,945 for the four-cylinder FWD, and $37,345 for the optional V6. 4Motion models add $1,900 to both powertrain options.
